SESAR Young Scientist Award

The SESAR Joint Undertaking (SJU) announced the call for entries to the SESAR Young Scientist Award 2013.

The SESAR Young Scientist Award, now in its second year, aims to recognise young scientists with high potential contributing to any SESAR activity by supporting the scientific development of "Air Traffic Management and Enabling Technologies".

Candidates must be a young scientist with scientific achievements within a Bachelor or Master Thesis (which must be completed not more than 2 years ago) or on-going PhD Work. In order to be eligible the work must be done within the scope of SESAR; covering ATM, related Airport and Air Vehicle areas of research within one of the following themes:

  •     Automation;
  •     Complex Systems;
  •     System Architecture & System Design;
  •     Information Management, Uncertainty & Optimisation;
  •     Enabling Change.
